Georgia Junior Thespian Conference - February 22, 2014

Come join us for the annual Georgia Junior Thespian Conference! This year we have an exciting conference planned for you once again at Columbus State in Columbus, GA. It will be a fun filled day with theatre workshops for Middle School students and teachers. The student/teacher workshops will be presented by theatre professionals and educators from around the Atlanta/Columbus area.

The Junior Thespian Conference registration fee will include all workshops and performance events, lunch, dinner, dance, conference name badge, and t-shirt. The conference schedule and registration information will be posted here soon. Junior Conference Registration will open October 1, 2013 and closes December 9, 2013.

*Georgia Junior Thespians offers Individual Events at the Junior Thespian Conference, The Georgia Junior Individual Events audition series is intended to be an educational program that allows Thespians the opportunity perform and to receive constructive feedback on their performance from theatrical professionals. The top 4-6 individual events will then be selected to perform in the main stage IE performance showcase. Categories include: Duet Acting, Solo Musical, Duet Musical, and Group Musical. Students are limited to one event and there is a $20 fee for each Individual Event registration. All IE's, except monologues, must NOT exceed the five minute time limit. The time limit for monologues is 3 minutes.  Students will be stopped at the end of their time limit.

  Conference Opportunities Minimize

Be a part of a Jr. Thespian Video
Submit short clips of your Thespians telling how theater has impacted their life or how their work has helped to create change at their school or community. Send your clips to Merrill Cheyne at by November 22. She will compile the clips and create a Thespian Festival video that will be shown at our 2014 Jr. Conference.

Short Film Competition
Get your friends together and create a short film on audience etiquette! Submit your film by December 9 to Merrill Cheyne at The winning film will be shown at our 2014 Jr. Conference.
