Master Class/Collide

What are Master Classes?
Master Classes are hands-on, interactive workshop sessions taught by seasoned professionals from around the state and country. Throughout the Junior Thespian Conference, students will take part in three Master Classes to help sharpen their skills and to create well-rounded Thespians.

How does COLLIDE work?
At the end of the Conference, students will have the opportunity to choose one of the three Master Classes to participate in as a part of our COLLIDE session. Each group will split off for one hour and rehearse or strategize.

These performances will be showcased during the closing ceremonies of conference alongside the Superior Individual Events from the Conference.

This year’s Master Class & Collide Series include Musical Theatre, Technical Theatre, and Stage Combat.

Stay tuned for updated on this year’s Master Class Presenters.

During the annual conference, students have the opportunity to participate in dynamic and exciting workshops led by theatre professionals in all areas of the theatre arts, including different styles of dance, movement, vocal, accents, the audition process, improvisation, makeup, costuming, stage management, set design and construction, lighting and sound, team building, and theatre games, just to name a few.

The workshop schedule will be posted on the website as soon as possible before conference so that you and your troupe members can plan their conference workshop experience in advance.

Stay tuned for updates on this year’s conference workshops.
