  Region Divisions Minimize

Why regions?  One of the main goals of the SSO this year is to establish communication between Troupes.  In order to do this, we split the state into regions.

We encourage you to go see shows at the schools in your region.  As thespians, we share a passion for theatre.  By supporting the arts around us, we ensure that the arts continue to receive recognition.  Besides, we all love it when people come see our shows.  Schools listed in your region should be within a reasonable driving distance.  Also, each region is represented by an SSO in order to ensure that all areas are equally represented.  This SSO is in charge of your region’s webpage and is your contact for any questions, ideas, or concerns you may have.  Most of the SSO plan to go see their region’s shows and even attend thespian inductions.

Hopefully, region divisions will allow you to communicate with troupes close to you, share ideas, and support each other.  Let’s connect!

  Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS! Minimize

This is a charity that the SSO strongly supports.  Broadway Cares is a New York based organization that provides relief for people already living with AIDS.  It does not sponsor research to find a cure for AIDS.

 

At Conference registration, the Troupe that turns in the check made out to GA Thespians with the most money will receive recognition as well as a snazzy plaque.  We challenge you to raise $1 per Thespian in your Troupe. Good luck!

 

Coin wars will be in full swing again this year.  The SSO boys think it’s time that the boys take the girls down….too bad the girls of the SSO think there’s no way that’ll happen.  We need your donations to find out!  If you wish to donate, put change in your own gender’s jug (positive points) and put dollars in the opposite gender’s jug (negative points).  The gender with the most points wins!

 

This year, wristbands (like the Livestrong bracelets, only ours will be red with Broadway Cares) will be sold for $1.  Buy a wristband and sport your support for Broadway Cares!
