Apply to Be A State Thespian Officer

If you are passionate about theatre, dedicated to serving your peers, and eager to make a difference in the Georgia Thespian community, consider running to be a State Thespian Officer (STO). Serving as an STO is a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, advocate for the arts, and collaborate with other driven students from across the state. As an STO, you’ll help plan and lead events at Georgia Thespian Conference, engage with Thespians year-round, and contribute to meaningful causes like Georgia Thespian Conference Grants and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. It’s a challenging and rewarding role that allows you to use your voice, creativity, and passion to strengthen and grow our community.

The steps for becoming an STO are: 

1. Attend LeadCon 1 and declare your candidacy. 

2. Fill out the online application, upload a headshot, print the completed application and obtain the required signatures. 

3. Scan and upload the signed application to the platform prior to the deadline on December 3, 2025 at 5:00 PM. 

4. Make sure you are registered to attend the 2026 Thespian Conference. 

5. Attend LeadCon 2 and be prepared to give a speech on your leadership qualities and why you should be an STO as well as answer questions from the current STO.

The election process will take place at the conclusion of all speeches at LeadCon 2.
